YOUR INFORMATION

Your routine.
Your records.

Stovaro is in private testing. This notice describes the journal and scanning features in this beta. Updated September 13, 2026.

On your iPhone

Your journal and saved products are stored in an on-device database. Label photos are read on your device using Apple Vision; Stovaro does not upload those photos for recognition. You can edit, delete and export your journal from the app.

Optional journal sync

If you enable sync in Settings, Stovaro receives your entries, ingredient amounts, notes, recognized label text, dates and saved products. Personal record contents are encrypted in the server database and transmitted over HTTPS. They are separated from the shared product catalog.

Sync is linked to this app installation using Apple App Attest. It is not an account backup: reinstalling the app or changing phones does not restore access. Turning sync off stops uploads; it does not erase records already synced. Delete entries and saved products in the app to request their removal from the active server database. Network interruptions can delay deletion until the request can complete.

Product lookups

Barcode and product searches are sent through our backend to public data providers, including NIH’s Dietary Supplement Label Database, USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. We store successful product responses to reuse them on later scans. Your personal journal is not sent to those providers. Your saved product corrections stay in your own library.

Apple Health

You choose whether to send supported oral nutrient amounts to Apple Health, and control permissions in iOS. IV drips and vitamin shots are journal entries rather than dietary intake. Earlier Stovaro Health records are only imported when you choose that action in Settings. If journal sync is enabled, imported entries are also synced.

Service operation

The backend uses installation identifiers and short-lived access tokens to authenticate the app. Network addresses are used for request limits and may appear in operational server logs. Stovaro does not use this information for advertising tracking.

Keep a local export of records you want to retain, especially before removing the beta or changing devices.
